Winner Selected in 2015 H Street Festival Logo Contest

Washington, DC—H Street Main Street announced today that it has chosen a winning design for its 10th anniversary logo contest (pictured below).

“The selected design really captures the essence of the H Street Festival, depicting many of the Festival’s staple activities and attractions set to the backdrop of H street businesses,” said Anwar Saleem, executive director of H Street Main Street, who sponsored the contest. “We were so humbled by the many amazing creations that local artists submitted to us, and thank everyone for participating. The H Street NE Corridor owes so much to contributions of the surrounding community. We can’t wait to display the winning logo around this year’s Festival.”

The winning logo will be used on select Festival banners, t-shirts and other 10th anniversary commemorative merchandise. Sarah D. Coleman, the designer of the winning logo, will receive $300, a dinner for two valued at $75.00 at Smith Commons. She was also recognized at the H Street Festival’s launch gala last night.

“It’s an honor to have my work represent the uniqueness and vibrancy of the 2015 H Street Festival,” said Sarah D. Coleman. “It was really important to me to enter the contest, because the Festival’s commitment to supporting H Street small businesses and the DC community is so important.”

The 2015 H Street Festival will take place from noon – 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015 from the 400 to the 1400 block of H Street NE. For additional information, please visit http://www.hstreet.org.
